I am getting married at the end of May, and when I walk down the aisle in my beautiful white gown I want guests
who have not seen me in years to gasp. I want to be confident and strong and sexy and graceful. I want to look and
feel like a diva.
Surprisingly, there's not as much practical, reasonable and accurate information regarding bridal beauty and fitness
out there. Yes, "Buff Brides" is out there, but that's about it. Therefore, this is my personal roadmap to diva-hood,
my carefully crafted 90 day transformation that I call my Diva Bride Bootcamp. The plan is comprehensive, including hair and
skincare, mood management and of course, diet and exercise.
The official launch date is Saturday, February 26 and you can track the progress here: Metamorphosis.
Hair Care - coming soon
Skin Care - Allure's Bridal Beauty magazine recommends scheduling an emergency dermatologist
appointment for the week of the wedding, so that if you get a blemish the good doctor can inject cortisone into it. Honestly.
I tend to believe that you are what you eat and for my path to flawless skin, click here.
Diet - As mentioned in the Backpack, I am a firm beliver in the Leanness Lifestyle, a non-nonsense, no-gimmick, just the facts, ma'am approach to fitness: to lose weight you have to eat less
calories than you burn. LL advocates a balanced 40-40-20 ratio of high quality carbs, protein and fats, coupled with intense
cardio and weight training. For more details about my diet, please see my Metamorphosis blog.
Exercise - Nothing is going to melt off stubborn fat rolls like high intensity
cardio and weight training. To see my weekly workouts, see Drills.
UPDATE: I walked down the aisle in the best shape of my life to date (123 pounds, ~16-17% body fat)
